About Automated Drive Systems
From Omaha, Nebraska, Automated Drive Systems is a growing electrical panel shop and drive distributor. Specializing in variable frequency drives, and automation system design, ADS has a strong history and valuable reputation in the industry.
Originally a division of Northwest Electric founded, the organization grew quickly by fixing various motors, mechanical devices, and appliances. In 2009 they expanded into automation and officially remerged two years later as “Automated Drive Systems”. Since then, ADS has received its UL 508A certification and expanded into a 13,500 sqft, state-of-the-art facility. They also continue to add more automation and manufacturing processes.
The Need for a True ETO Solution
President Brenden Fritz had been struggling with an accounting and ERP system based in the Salesforce platform, particularly their accounting app which limited their BOM to 100 parts. Additionally, being a high technology products distributor, ADS needed a quick and easy way to quote and sell parts. The Automated Drive Systems team also looks forward to simplified purchasing. Being able to issue and revise RFQs and POs with just a few clicks. Management is also relieved by the tracking and reporting metrics available at all stages of a project. This empowers them with real-time information. “With better information, we can make data-driven decisions and drastically increase our value to our clients,” Fritz says.
