New Vista Corporation, located in Baltimore Maryland, is an Engineer To Order company focused on meeting manufacturing challenges by balancing operational efficiency, quality, and customer service.
New Vista designs and builds custom thread verification, remediation, and tapping equipment for many industries. While the majority of their equipment is built in-house, they do outsource some of the fabrication work.
New Vista found Total ETO while searching for an ERP/MRP solution to replace their in-house Excel spreadsheets and discovered they had shared customers with Total ETO. After several demos, New Vista’s commitment to continual improvement led them to replace their historically paper-oriented record keeping system with Total ETO’s solution. They look forward to solving their process challenges and making well informed decisions with easy data access and the 200+ configurable, pre-designed reports now available to them.
The biggest challenge exists for New Vista’s purchasing department. Receiving drawings from Engineering, the data must be re-entered into Excel in order to create the BOM. With 20k-40k records, this process requires a lot of double entry and makes it difficult to capture data in any way that can be tracked and referenced in future.
Total ETO’s integration with both their AutoDesk and QuickBooks systems will save them time, increase accuracy, and make the process of moving from design to purchase much more efficient. They will be able to release BOMs in stages, bring in complete or partial BOMs from past jobs, find and import existing parts quickly, and add new parts to the BOM at any point.
