As an established leader in custom machine building, SDC continually seeks innovative ways to enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflows, including automating clerical duties when possible. Through a demo of our ERP, SDC recognized the potential of Dynamic BOMs for Engineer To Order manufacturers and identified an opportunity to further reduce time spent on manual tasks, such as maintaining bills of materials in spreadsheets, allowing their engineers and purchasers to focus on innovation rather than clerical work.
SDC’s operations involve outsourcing custom parts and managing complex logistics within their global network, including drop-shipping between suppliers and a growing revenue stream in spare parts sales.
