25 years ago, PowerBuilt launched in Bellefontaine, Ohio, as a national distributor of material handling solutions. Since then, strong customer relationships and a solid reputation have fueled their growth, leading to vertical integration, multiple facilities, and offices across the U.S. This innovative team specializes in mechanical and electrical engineering, assembly, fabrication, and more.
No More Spreadsheets
Procurement is a difficult department for Custom Machine Builders. There’s often a bottleneck between engineering and procurement, and most projects come with multiple change orders. You can imagine how difficult it would be to work with just one massive Excel spreadsheet that compiles all the BOMs for every project. PowerBuilt is looking forward to eliminating the spreadsheet and integrating their new ERP with their CAD, SOLIDWORKS.
The PowerBuilt team has in-house fabrication and machining capabilities, including laser, waterjet, milling, welding, and powder coating. They also outsource some processes, such as black oxide, anodizing, and turning. Tracking all these components will be much easier with Total ETO. Parts can be sent to various tasks and you’ll always know where they are. And when change orders happen, Total manages them, too, including revised delivery dates.
